The Wright brothers have done it! Orville and Wilbur have made the first successful
flight in human history. On December 17,
1903, the Wright brother made several attempts of leaving the ground in their “Flyer”
from Kitty Hawk, S. C. With freezing headwind gusting to
27 miles per hour, it sure was a frigid flight.
The brothers flew a distance of several hundred feet with heights above
10 feet above the ground. The day has ended
in a sad note though due to the Flyer being blown over and being severally
damaged. After years of working on
gliders, this was a big day for the Brothers and will be definitely something
they, and the many witness, never forget.
